BANGKOK – RECREATIONAL TIME FOR MY BLOG

Hello and welcome back!

I spent the last 12 days in Bangkok updating and rewriting this blog!
It was such a beautiful and inspiring time and i am grateful for every minute. I got inspired by this amazing city and the great people i met!

After working almost 7 hours every day to finalize the content – i am finally ready to share what I’ve experienced and learned since October last year, when my travels started.
It was so good to take some time off and reflect what had happened the last couple of months. A lot has changed in my life and i hope by reading this blog, it might inspire you as well, to think about certain things and to make a change!

Tomorrow I’ll leave Bangkok and i am going to join
the 300h Yoga Teacher Training in Chiang Mai!
I am really excited to go back to the Ashram and to study for the next 6 weeks. I’ll keep you updated and share KNOWLEDGE ABOUT AYURVEDA and  Yoga Philosophy.

See you on the other side 😉

Why?

Why is it so important for me to share all of this?
“What happened with her?!” and where is it all coming from?
Taking that step, going to the Ashram, practicing Yoga, going vegan and surrendering to what life had brought to me changed me and my  whole life completely. It made my life so beautiful and so much happier that i feel the need to say thank you!
I want to share my experiences to also make your life happier and to give you some inspiration where to find knowledge to grow. maybe some parts of my experiences find you just right and we can reach together a higher state of consciousness.
How did that happen?
By following my heart… first to Bangkok .. what brought divine love into my life and following this love .. yoga came to me.
since i started following my heart and soul I don’t eat the same way and I don’t sleep the same way i used to do.
My thoughts are different, my commitment and attitude towards other living beings has changed. I don’t work in the same profession anymore, I don’t drink or smoke and instead of going out late i go up early in the morning  – a goal i thought I would never be able to achieve in life! I look and feel different and i can say i am on my way, trying to become the best version of myself.
Until i changed my diet I always had problems with my stomach and digestion. Sometimes i had cramps so bad that i almost lost consciousness. Since i ‘m vegan i never had them again.  My skin is much better and my hair looks shiny. I have more power and it elates me to eat clean, saving animals and the environment.
People keep asking me isn’t it hard to be vegan?
I feel like

taking this decision made my life so much easier!

There are no more question running through my mind ‘oh should i have another cake or i feel like ice cream..’ It is a commitment that stops several dialogues in your head.. because you already made up your mind and decided! You took a choice how to live your life and you are committed! No room for excuses or discussions with yourself.
When i got the knowledge about why going vegan it was only one thought that activated the whole process. Understanding why!

I CLAIM IT HAS SOMETHING TO DO WITH SELF-LOVE.

After reading and studying about nutrition and plant-based diet I had to admit that
-honestly- I love my self too much than to harm my body and system every day for “brain” pleasure and I never ever missed something..  That’s the weirdest part! Normally i expected cravings and feeling sad for not having something anymore but honestly i never felt sorry that i am not having something anymore!!! It is so easy to replace food and it became a challenge in almost everything i do…
Cooking dishes as similar as possible to how i used to cook (before I lived on a plant based diet) and being so proud that things feel, taste and look the same! i promise You can copy everything!
Also trying to avoid plastic as much as possible can get addictive 🙂
So the sooner we start learning how we do that best – start copying and become more aware of our environment!
the sooner the better and the earth can start healing again.
BUT NOW tHE most important part is … EVERYONE can do that!
I am nothing special. Everyone is capable of committing, taking a decision and making a choice whether you want to adapt something new in life or not. Actually I am pretty lazy and i honestly don’t like to work out hard. But i COMMITTED and I stay determined. I committed myself to yoga and to my practice and that brought all the change in my life. Sometimes i look in the mirror and still need to get used to this new self, because it took only 5 months. I lost almost 10 kilos, gained muscles I´ve  never had before and shed my skin.
I really want to encourage you to look into your life and into yoga philosophy, nutrition and healthcare to become the best version of yourself!  I wish i could show you all individually how easy and how much fun it is! if you need help along the way i will support you – if you want to!
So please feel free to contact me anytime!
in my opinion it all starts with love. Self-love and love towards others. Love who you are, what you do, what surrounds you and what accompanies you along the way. Sit down and reflect..
what do you love and what not? Then take action. Change the things you don’t love and replace them with things, people, places and moments that brings  joy, happiness and peace in your life and they will attract more…
That’s the law of the universe!
Love to you all

WELCOME BACK TO ASIA

Welcome to Bali – an island with great magical power!
A few days before we flew over to Denpasar  i randomly booked a place to stay in Canggu. I really had no idea where we were going to end up but when i entered Serenity Eco guesthouse & Yoga i almost couldn’t believe it! It is heaven on earth combined with Yoga which wasn’t mentioned online. It was destined for me to stay there , i felt so much joy and I was overwhelmed and so grateful that the universe had managed for me to find this place. I felt so connected to a higher power and had the urgent need to tell the whole world about this special place. I met the owners and set up an interview with them which i will publish as soon as possible on Youtube to share their whole story and concept behind.

The estate and the energy is just beyond words and after we had our first meal at the in-house Alkaline restaurant we extended our stay immediately.  I never had food like this before. It is so nourishing, organic and produced with only alcaline water, without any sugar or gluten that after a few days you can feel SUCH A DIFFERENCE in your body, in the way you move, you think and act – its incredible!
I recommend everyone to stay there at least for one week and experience this great physical and mental change.
Practice some Yoga, meditate and just let yourself unwind.
I even decided to come back all the way from Lombock to spend another couple of days there at the end of my stay although i was flying out from Lombock to Thailand.

The rest of Bali and Lombock was also nice but our highlight was DEFINITELY Serenity Guesthouse and Yoga.
On Gili T we stayed in the Mango tree homestay of a beautiful, super nice couple (german and Indonesian). We went snorkeling, enjoyed the great vegan food, practiced some yoga and watched the sunsets. It was so beautiful! when i tried Aerial Yoga for the first time i fell in love right away and soon after i decided that my next and final step on my journey was going to go to India .. to study more and to see where it all came from.

All in all we had a fantastic time and it was hard to say goodbye but i was ready.. ready to go on, ready to go home 🙂

WORK & TRAVEL IN AUSTRALIA

On the 30th of November 2017 we arrived in Melbourne and our
mission Australia started!
To be honest I was really hyped and impatient to find a job as soon as possible. That’s why we moved on very quickly to Sydney to settle down and find work. I would have never ever thought having my first interview in Australia for becoming a Hatha Yoga Teacher in a great Studio.
But i guess it was destined 🙂 that I started teaching 6 weeks later in a brand new, beautiful place in Dulwich Hill, Sydney. I am so grateful for this experience and the trust they showed in me!

Trunkstudios was the perfect place to start and I wish I could have stayed longer. Teaching my students inspired me so much, that I decided to go back to the Ashram and study more, to become a Yoga Teacher for life. It’s such a different and beautiful way of working and I hope I will be able to keep this feeling forever!
Doing what I love for work elates me and encourages me do follow this new path, although I have no clue how to proceed and where this is heading to … but as I learned from Michael A. Singer I trust and surrender to life!

GRADUATION

On friday 17th Of november we SUCCESSFULLY Completed our 200h yoga teacher training at wise living yoga academy. It was a beautiful ceremony and i am so grateful for everything i have learned! I will definitely come back and continue my studies.

In the afternoon we drove bAck to beautiful chiang mai and spend a MARVELOUS weekend in town. We went to The elephant jungle sanctuary and fed elephants and took a bath with them in the river. I will never forget this day and this amazIng time we spend the last weeks in the north of thailand…

ASHRAM LIFE

These past weeks have been life changing and such a great experience!
Thus it was very exhausting and intense studying, every day!
We lived at our great teachers home -Jeenal & Daniel- in an Ashram in Doi Saket (Chiang Mai) and learned that yoga is much more than just physical exercise (called Asana practice) because Yoga is actually a holistic path to self-realization!

At 6:30 our day started with meditation. At seven o’clock we had asana practice in the yoga hall until breakfast at 8:30. At 10 our first lesson of the day started with Daniel, mostly about Yoga tradition and philosophy! Then we had class with Jeenal until lunch time. We practiced purification techniques or learned about plant based diet and Ayurveda. In the first 2 weeks we had a relaxation session after lunch at around 1:30 which was also guided by us students. Very relaxing 🙂 In the afternoon we had praNayama breathing lesons and Yoga Sutra classes (by Patanjali) with Jeenal until our asana teacher session in the afternoon, starting at 5! The day ended with chanting and meditative reflection of the day and with a very healthy dinner at 6.30! Usually I started studying at 7.15 till 9.15 and went to bed right after!

I will miss these Ashram days, concentrated, healthy and focused!

YOGA TEACHER TRAINING

I SPEND TWO MORE BEAUTIFUL DAYS IN BANGKOK BEFORE I SET FOOT ON THE NEXT LIFE CHaNGING ADVENTURE IN MY LIFE – MOVING TO AN ASHRAM AND ATTEND THE 200H yoga teacher Training program in Chiang mai.

ARRIVING IN CHIANG MAI ALMOST FELT LIKE HOME AND I WAS again IMMEDIATELY AMAZED BY THE ENERGY AND ATMOSPHERE OF THIS BEAUTIFUL CITY! after our last breakfast in liberty we took a red cab to the beautiful nature in doi saket and entered the ashram.
we are living here now since 2 weeks – two more weeks to come.

THE FIRST WEEK WAS REALLY EXHAUSTING, SITTING AND STUDYING AT THE FLOOR FOR 8 HOURS. but I love the traditional practice of yoga and all the Topics we are discussing about life, the ancient times and the yoga sutras written by patanjali.
of Course every day starts with Meditation practice followed by asana class. i have learned a lot about life & environment and practical approaches.
the next two weeks will be about teaching practices and how to provide this Knowledge to the outside world! i also changed my eating Habits into a plant based diet and get up every morning at 6. feel very good and will give you a summary of the most important aspects at the end of my stay here.

it is a life changing experience and i can absolutely recommend this institute and experience to everyone who is interested in
–> why we are here on this earth and what is the higher meaning of life!

YOGA

Yoga is much more than just a way of improving and excercising your body.. it's a holistic way of living to become the best version of yourself.
I will never forget  the moment when i realized that yoga is not yoga.. Yoga the way we practice it in the western world - in a studio or a course - is actually called Asana practice. Asana originally means sitting posture in Sanskrit,  the ancient primary liturgical language of Hinduism. It is referred to the postures we practice  when we perform physical exercise.
It was at a workshop near Frankfurt when i met my teachers Jeenal and Daniel for the first time. They are a married couple (she from India and he from Brazil) living together in an Ashram in Chiang Mai, Thailand.  I  was sitting cross-legged in a basement with almost 30 other people when my transformation process began and i learned that Yoga is an old Philosophy from India and holistic way of living your life. It was so fascinating listening to their words, that after 30 minutes i knew already that no matter what, i needed to go to Chiang Mai, do the Yoga Teacher Training and learn everything they are offering to teach!
6 months later i moved in to their lovely Ashram in the outskirts of Chiang Mai. The atmosphere and the beautiful nature around the property were just breath taking. Although I had been practicing yoga every other day in Nuremberg (where i had spent summer before) and thought i was prepared - I had no idea how the knowledge they were going to provide would change my whole life!

Thats when i learned what yoga is all about.

Yoga is not a religion. Its a way of life - aware and conscious. That means to find out who you really are and whats your purpose in life. Yoga helps to focus and concentrate on finding ones true nature and spirit in life.  The answers to most of your questions lie within yourself and with the help of yoga practice you can learn to listen to them. You can learn to listen to your heart and soul.. finding your individual truth.  To achieve this state of so called 'enlightenment' is  reached through meditation, asana practice and self reflection.
How can you  EXPECT others to know and understand your self if you don't know your self or listen to what it is trying to tell you ..!?
Practicing yoga comes with devotion and a dedicated lifestyle. Instead of watching television before I go to sleep i now started thinking about what had happened that day, reflecting, studying or reading to gain more knowledge and to grow as a person.  The most inspiring knowledge and the roots of Indian philosophy are the 195 verses of Patanjali's Yogasutra. He is called 'the father' of yoga because he structured the patterns of yoga and put them in order into the scriptures of Yogasutra.  I was lost for words coming across all this ancient knowledge and when I read 'Ich. bin. jetzt. ' by Su Buson, an austrian writer who also interpreted the beginners path of Patanjali. The way she  explains the beginners path of yoga (Ashtanga Yoga) and the BEAUTIFUL words she uses are just incredible. In my opinion every single human on earth should read her book for a start 😉
Looking inside yourself and taking the yogic path also enables us to find our roots and to concentrate on everyone's individual purpose and journey in life. Many people are stuck, fighting for approval, power, or money and are blurred by materialism.  Moreover they keep listening to the same negative thoughts, running through their mind day by day by day.  But this (often negative) reality is properly the exact opposite. It is not real! it is a made up reality in your head  that won't allow you to experience peace and ease in your life. Therefore we practice Yoga. To concentrate and to gain peace, love, respect and awareness towards the environment and towards our self - to find your destiny and the way to your individual journey on this planet!
So to find a way out of this slough Patanjali explains in the Yogasutra  the eightfold path - called Ashtanga, which literally means "eight limbs" (ashta=eight, anga=limb). These eight steps basically act as guidelines for beginners on how to live a meaningful and purposeful life. They describe  self-discipline, the morals and ethical conducts a yogi should internalize. Also they imply on food ethics, how to live a healthy life and help to acknowledge spiritual aspects of our nature.
In the next section Philosophy i will explain more detailed what the eight limbs of yoga comprehend and what they mean to my life.
Practicing Yoga brought me to peace in my life and after i set foot on the path everything fell into places, surrendering to my practice and to love. I learned that deep inside of me there existed a root that wanted to grow .. to elate and inspire others. And suddenly everything and every decision i took in my life made sense and i wish the same for you and your practice!
